Join Us To Support Adoption
Join us for our first ever Walk for Adoption at Scissortail Park in OKC with proceeds benefitting Deaconess Pregnancy and Adoption! You can participate as an individual or as a family and we will have games, music and more so come spend the morning with us! All participants will receive a free t-shirt as well as breakfast tacos from Rudy's BBQ. You will have the opportunity to raise money from your family and friends through our personal fundraising pages and there will be prizes for the top three fundraisers. Sign up today and get started with your fundraising. We will see you on April 1st!
This is not a timed event/race. It is a "Fun Walk" through some of the beautiful trails throughout Scissortail Park. Enjoy scenic views of the park and downtown OKC all while raising money for DPA. It is also the first day of the OKC Farmers Market, so plan to spend some time after the walk visiting some of the vendors!
All you need to do to participate is pay the registration fee (individual or family) and then ask your friends and family to support you by donating a flat fee. You don't have to get pledges per mile or anything like that. Just sign-up, ask your friends for donations to DPA through your personal fundraising page, and show up to participate that morning!
Has your family been blessed through adoption? Then why not show the world at the walk? For $100, you can send us a photo of your family that will be placed on a sign along the walk path!
We will have music and games to keep the whole family entertained throughout the walk. Every registration includes a FREE t-shirt and breakfast.
Registration
Signing up is quick and easy! You will choose your first adult ticket and then before checking out, you will have the option to add additional adult and child registrations. After checking out, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to create your personal fundraising page. As a reminder, donations will be for flat amounts and not on a per mile or per lap basis.
There will be free street parking on Hudson (west side of park) and paid parking lots on the north and east sides of the park. Check-in will begin at 8:00 AM and the walk will begin at 9:00 AM.
